  Maytag Commercial Laundry turns 50--Pierce Commercial celebrated with their 2008 Business Development Conference Pierce Commercial Laundry Distributors' 14th annual free, all-day open house was renamed this year due to the inclusion of new business development seminars. "It is so important to educate store owners on industry trends," said George Pierce, owner of Pierce Commercial Laundry Distributors. The 2008 Business Development Conference was recently held in New Orleans. The conference included service seminars, a huge one day sale, great Louisiana food, Maytag and Whirlpool Commercial Laundry equipment showcase, informational seminars, industry vendors, and over 50 prize drawings given throughout the day. Pierce and Maytag Commercial Laundry offered low-rate financing through US Capital Corporation, special sale prices on equipment, and coin vend soap.  Mike Sokolowski, vice-president of the Coin Laundry Association educated attendees about trends to boost their profits and other profit centers for coin laundry owners. Bobby Drummond, Maytag Commercial Laundry Service Manager, conducted informative service seminars to eager viewers. Representatives from Maytag Commercial Laundry, American Dryer Corporation, US Capital Corporation, Coin Laundry Association, Solomatic, American Changer Corp., Hamilton Engineering, Vend-rite, Standard Changer Makers, and ESD exhibited at the conference. With almost 100 attendees, the conference was a great success.
