We are happy to be able to support the state and federal government by employing such a first-rate service technican. The National Guard was sent to the city to help the New Orleans Police Department prevent chaos, as many as 1,500 National Guardsmen will arrive in the city today, with the initial convoy expected to arrive downtown about noon. The soldiers, who were mobilized statewide Thursday, will muster at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the designated staging area for troops and their equipment for Gustav.
